Your personal odyssey

Highly curated photography tours and creative workshops for the modern voyager.

OUR ETHOS

The Art of Slow Travel

We believe travel is an act of creation and inspiration. We craft small-group expeditions designed for the visual storyteller. We trade the tourist trail for the golden hour, blending the rigour of photography and brand workshops with the effortless comfort of a grand tour.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Why Ulysse Retreats

Our intent is singular: to create spaces and experiences where distractions falls away, leaving room for creativity, learning, and a deeper connection to nature and people. We design highly curated, slow-travel odysseys and experiences for the curious, like no other.

Sanctuaries & Storyscapes

Our journeys create the headspace for creativity, they are studies in contrast: the rugged texture of an adventure by day, softened by the silence of a historic palace by night. We trade the tourist trail for the "slow route," giving you the time to truly see, not just look.

mentorship

You are not merely guided; you are mentored. Travel alongside experts who help refine your visual voice. Our trusted guides unlock doors usually bolted shut, granting you access to the people and places that give the soul to the region.

The Tangible Legacy

Through hands-on workshops in curation, sequencing, and print preparation, you will not just capture images: you will craft a body of work. Apart from memories, you will leave with a self-published zine or portfolio that will bear witness to your journey.

A SHARED VISION

Our retreats draw a curated circle of like-minded aesthetes and storytellers. These are not just travel companions; they become friends. The bonds formed over shared sunsets and critique sessions often outlast the journey itself and thrive.

ATLAS highlights

Don't Just Travel. Create.

01. The Blue Hour: Chefchaouen

We begin where the light is softest. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, the "Blue Pearl" serves as our first muse. This is a study in colour theory and abstract street photography.

02. The Living Labyrinth: Fes el-Bali

Fes is a sensory immersion into a medieval world. This UNESCO World Heritage site is the heart of Moroccan craftsmanship and the ultimate challenge for any street photographer.

03. Marrakesh & The High Atlas: Medina streets & peaks

Marrakech is our base for both high-energy street photography and high-altitude inspiration. It is a city of "Inhales and Exhales." We dive into the chaos of Jemaa el-Fna at dusk, then "exhale" with a private expedition into the High Atlas Mountains.

04. The Artifact: A Tangible Legacy

Most photography tours end with a digital folder. Ours ends with a physical object. This is the "Mastery" phase of the ATLAS odyssey. You will leave with a custom-designed photography zine: a physical artifact of your journey to share with the world.
